My College Advice
The first couple of weeks feel overwhelming, but it will go away as you adjust. The thing about college is never doubt your ability, just ask yourself, do I have a plan, am I organized enough?
My best advise is to,
Outline the semester-Syllabus are great, they allow you to plan the next 15 to 17 weeks, I wish I had a macbook when I was in college I would have used iCal and iGTD to make daily, weekly, and monthly schedules; paper and pen and a weekly planner work too.
Utilize the breaks in-between classes for reading, research, and studying.
On the reading, you will realize that it doesn't all have to get done at once,
You will quickly learn to prioritize reading based on,
~Need- Is it going to be on the test, you will master skim reading
~Assignments
~Interests
Start your term projects early, plan them out, asked your professors questions,
Go to the research centers, use the colleges resources for research materials
Take good notes
General Studies courses professors tend to give tests based on notes
Remember your professors know your freshman, they know you are only taking general requirements courses. So your knowledge is to be general.
Realize your weaknesses, do something about them. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Tutor centers can be useful.
Take action early, don't procrastinate.
Planning helps prevent stress, less stress means everything is more enjoyable.
This is my sage advise,
Enjoy it
Have fun
